How it works...

1. Register with NoodleBoard H.Q (here) download the widget and receive an email containing your board name and unique pin.

2. Think of a good password then tell the others sharing the board the following :
The board name, the pin and your password.
Send them a copy of, or ask them to download, the widget and enter the details you have just given them.

3. Now you all see the same virtual ‘NoodleBoard’.
Anything anyone types into their NoodleBoard is encrypted (using the blowfish algorithm and the password that only you and the people you’ve told know) before leaving the computer and then sent to our server automatically.

4. When the NoodleBoards update the opposite happens.  They download the encrypted data from our server and decrypt it on their machines using your password.

Using this mechanism means that all we store is encrypted data that we don’t know the encryption key for, so it’s gibberish to us.  You can change the password as often as you like, however make sure the people you are sharing with know the new one!
